The “Hansa Campus” in Soester and Meppener Straße in Münster is a new student residence, with a facade that catches the eye with its formal and colorful independence. When closing the gap between buildings, no attempt was made to create links to the clinker bricks of the adjacent buildings. Thanks to the consistency with which the balcony molded parts and the different colored window surrounds seem to alternate randomly rules out discussions concerning whether the design does or doesn't fit with in the streetscape. The facade is a closed unit, with its own unique formal and colored rhythm and dynamic from the base to the dormers. The strength of this concept is that it works with every other color shade gradation from the yellow shades RAL 1016, 1018 and 1023 not listed here – an aspect that shouldn't be underestimated for future renovations if the current color selection goes out of fashion.
