A entirely preservative-free range – a unique color mixing system without additives
The fact that plain white is preservative-free is probably an old hat for paint companies, tendering agencies or architecture firms. Until now, however, no manufacturer has been able to guarantee that preservative-free wall paints are available in all colors – for example, in vibrant colors. Our solution: a color mixing process that does not require the addition of preservatives in the color pastes.

The Brillux ionization process
Until now, color pastes required preservatives in order to prevent, for example, mold infestation. The secret of our patent-pending process is ionization: a process in which the air is electrically charged.
The method
Electrically charged, ionized air is fed into the paste container.
The ionized air ensures that critical microorganisms cannot settle in the filling tank.
The color paste does not require any other additives such as preservatives and can be dosed.
Patent-pending: Through the ionization technology in all Brillux color systems, preservatives can be completely avoided. For all products and in all color shades!
