Emulsion-based effect technique Filling texturing technique 2c03

This modern type of filling technique is performed with Latex Plastic ELF 904 on a smooth substrate. The texturing with the Sudeten Filler Knife 1197 or Surface Filler Knife 1828 achieves the typical, relief-like surface.

Step 1

Latex Plastic ELF 904 is rolled on in a medium layer thickness. Texturing takes place directly after the material application. In the process, distinctive strokes are set in loose distribution with the Surface Filler Knife 1828.

Step 2

Uneven elevations in the texture can then be smoothed with a Double Blade Spatula 1289. In the process, the application is performed in a criss-cross pattern, and the tool is cleaned frequently.

Step 3

Once dry, any filler burrs must be sanded off. The color design accents can then be added.

Step 4

A combination of glaze techniques is now applied to the prime coat. To achieve this, tinted emulsion glaze is applied uniformly and then distributed and smoothed with the Surface Block Brush Extra 1210 (Glazing Technique "Cloudy").

Step 5

To level out the brush marks and coarse strokes, the surface can be reworked with a sponge float (Sponge Dabbing Technique).
