Stone interpretation technique Smooth marble technique 5c01

An extremely elegant creative technique that creates remarkably realistic imitation marble surfaces. For the implementation, Latex Plastic ELF 904 is applied on the smooth substrate and processed wet in wet with tinted emulsion paint. The surfaces are then smoothed in a specified diagonal direction until they have an extremely harmonious and uniform appearance.

Step 1

Apply Latex Plastic ELF 904 and Dolomit ELF 900 in mixing ratio 1:2 in a uniform film thickness. The typical marble markings are worked in wet in wet with tinted emulsion paint in a diagonal directions.

Step 2

Use Masker Masking Paper 1609 to "copy" the freshly applied layer of paint to the surface.

Step 3

Pre-texture the wet layer of paint with the Sudeten Filler Knife 1197 unevenly in the specified direction.

Step 4

Then carefully smooth the entire surface with the Double Blade Spatula 1290 in the specified diagonal direction.

Step 5

Flaws are smoothed away by sealing the pores with Dolomit ELF 900, basis 30 (semi-opaque.

Step 6

Once dry, remove coarse unevennesses carefully with an orbital sander. The final fine sanding is performed by hand in small circular motions.
