A place with personality
Jaumann’s Südwind is a small, family-run bed & breakfast that consciously focuses on personality. It’s not about meeting a hotel standard – it’s about creating a place that’s real.
A place where guests arrive, settle in and breathe – and perhaps head home with some new ideas.

Deliberately opulent design
As an architect, Jakob Bader is actually familiar with construction sites from a planner’s perspective. But when he bought an apartment in an old building in Munich’s Schwabing district, he suddenly became the homeowner himself – and the coordinator of countless decisions.
Together with an experienced painting contractor and the right products from Brillux, Jakob Bader has brought his vision to life step by step: an apartment that feels like a personal exhibition – opulent, full of character and brimming with stories.

Home and commercial space in one
“Our tastes became one in here,” say the business partners.
What sounds like a tongue-in-cheek remark describes quite well how this building came about: through closeness, dialog and the courage to engage with each other.
In the residential and commercial building, the two men showed that you don’t necessarily have to choose a side. The House of James is basically their baby.

Anything but ordinary
40 square meters, an old building with sloping walls, charming corners and a striking oriel window that captures the light of the city. As an oral and maxillofacial surgeon with his own practice in Koblenz, he actually lives in Bonn – but once a week he sleeps in his small second apartment above the roofs of the city.

New splendor
As soon as you enter the apartment in Munich, you can see it has been designed with care. The walls are not simply painted. The creative techniques Philipp uses show fine glossy surfaces, subtle textures and soft transitions.
