Facade design in the exposed concrete plastering technique

An individual look

Exceptional facade appearance

When passers-by see the Azam family’s house, they still ask them: “Are those really pre-cast concrete parts on your home?” But you won’t find any of those here. With an exposed concrete look, homeowner Mhamad Azam realized his ideas of an exceptional facade in a residential area in Rheine.

Design freedom

The civil engineer from the Gronau-based engineering firm Johann Hoff made good use of his design freedom in the development plan and planned a mixed facade of clinker bricks on the ground floor and render look on the upper floor – so far, so ordinary.

Alternative options

To achieve the desired individual appearance, he asked ETICS expert Marcel Färber, technical consultant at Brillux, about alternative design options. The exposed concrete look won him over. He commissioned a specialist company, Arton Krasniqi Malermeister GmbH, to create the facade on the upper floor. Färber trained the employees on site.

Not just a visual highlight

“This facade design based entirely on render is exceptional, a real visual highlight,” says Azam. And the building envelope does much more than that. The basis for the extraordinary design is ETICS EPS Prime with 28 cm thick EPS Prime Insulation Boards 3870.
