Anyone who does manual work uses their entire body. Strains and hazards must therefore be kept to a minimum or prevented altogether. That’s why there are laws governing protective measures.
Special filters for better air
If the legally specified limits for pollutant concentrations in the workplace are exceeded, respiratory protection must be used. These masks filter the air to remove substances that are hazardous to health before they are inhaled. Different filter materials protect against specific pollutants.
Selection of suitable gloves
Only those who are aware of the hazards in the workplace can protect themselves adequately. The nature and extent of all risks determine the type of gloves required. All protective gloves must comply with the standard EN 420, which defines general requirements for gloves, such as size and dexterity. Other standards are also relevant for painters: these are mainly DIN EN 374 81–3 for protection against chemicals and DIN EN 388 for mechanical risks.
Goggles, helmets and shoes complete your personal protective equipment
The right helmet protects the head from mechanical influences such as impacts or falling objects.
Safety goggles protect the eyes from mechanical and chemical hazards.
