Floortec system for balconies
As a place to retreat or an extended living room: a balcony is ideal for relaxing outdoors or grilling with friends. Because balconies, loggias and pergolas are often directly exposed to the weather, they are some of the most heavily stressed parts of buildings. Enormous temperature differences from +70°C to -30°C place high demands on the coatings, especially in terms of protection against leaks, crack-bridging and water drainage. They also have to withstand mechanical stress from, for example, furniture and flowerpots. And of course, they also need to look nice and well looked after. That’s quite a lot at once. But no problem at all: our Floortec balcony coatings offer the right solutions for all requirements.

Floortec balcony coatings offer flexible combination options that enable the right build-up for every requirement. What they all have in common is an almost jointless surface and low installation height and weight.
Differences exist in terms of the speed of application, the visual requirements, design freedom, protection against leaks and durability. And that’s exactly what makes the Brillux Floortec system so flexible.
An additional benefit: Brillux balcony coatings are particularly low odor, allowing the work to be carried out without disturbing residents or users.
The waterproofing of roofs, balconies and pergolas is regulated in DIN 18531. Part 5 covers the requirements as well as the principles of planning and implementation. A basic requirement states that a balcony coating with liquid plastics must comply with EAD 030350-00-0402.
The system build-ups marked with the “EAD” symbol here meet the strict demands of the guideline in terms of durability and suitability of the waterproofing for use on balconies, loggias and pergolas.

From quick, practical renovations through to balcony waterproofing in accordance with EAD – with the Brillux Floortec balcony coatings, we always offer the ideal system build-up for a wide range of applications.
The 2K-Purolid sealer is suitable for mineral balcony tiles in combination with the tried-and-tested build-up of prime coat and self-leveling filler. 2K-Purolid can also be used on compatible 2K coatings.

The 1K-PU coating with Topcon F 828 offers a practical solution for balcony coating. In combination with a prime coat and self-leveling filler, it’s ideal for mineral balcony tiles. Decochips 843 can optionally be used to create an individual surface design.
The coating build-up with 2K-Sealcon Top 832 allows for quick and practical surface waterproofing of balconies, loggias and pergolas with a low film thickness of 2 mm. Particularly efficient: the coating provides both waterproofing and a wear layer. Optionally, Decochips 843 can be used to create an individual surface design.

The coating build-up with 2K-Sealcon Top 832 offers tested waterproofing according to EAD 030350-00-0402 for balconies, loggias and pergolas. The coating is applied in a standardized film thickness of 2.5 mm, with no fleece insert required. For an individual look, the surface can be optionally designed using Decochips 843.
Topcon F 828 is also suitable as a renovation coating on unsightly old coatings. This is provided that the old coating is intact and is
based on 2K-PUR or PMMA. The coating build-up requires thorough preparation of the old coating and the use of the Pricon 831 system prime coat.
