Concrete protection and renovation

How to maintain concrete structures for the long term

You encounter concrete almost every day. And you know that even the hardest wall needs protection. To ensure that wind, water and the environment do not harm the most versatile of all building materials, we have a whole range of solutions at our disposal. So you can protect and maintain your concrete for the long term.

Concrete restoration - reliable products for lasting results

There are many challenges in concrete restoration. With these two helpers, you can already master 90% of all cases. May we introduce? Reprofill K 765 and PCC Fine Filler 804.

Concrete protection against carbonation

Water and CO2 absorption causes any concrete to become brittle at some point. This carbonation is followed by corrosion. But you can do something about this! The right surface protection system can protect and stabilize concrete, ensuring long-term durability.

Effective concrete protection with our surface protection systems

They protect the building fabric against water and pollutants such as CO2, with increased ability for water-vapor permeability.
They increase wear resistance by protecting the surface.
They can be used for color design with the Brillux Color System.
They reduce soiling and infestation of micro-organisms.

Whichever build-up you choose: Brillux offers a solution for every situation. The products for concrete renovation and maintenance comply with the requirements of EN 1504–2 and are subject to constant monitoring. Always possible during implementation: our customized color design using the Brillux Color System and Protect quality added in the factory.

Various build-up types

The coating according to OS 2 (OS B) helps to protect concrete components exposed to the weather. This allows sufficient water drainage through a film-forming layer that reduces water and pollutant absorption.
Result:
The concrete protection significantly reduces CO2 absorption, virtually stopping carbonation and protecting the steel reinforcement permanently.
Build-up:
Hydrophobing agent and at least two top coats with a polymer dispersion.

Reprofill K 765: the special mortar – easy modeling of corners and edges

Preparation is everything – even when it comes to touching up chipped corners and edges. What is often missing: time. This is precisely where Reprofill K 765 comes in. The mortar is stirred in two minutes and, thanks to its good stability, corners and edges can be touched up quickly – without having to apply a separate bonding slurry.

Understanding carbonation and avoiding it through concrete renovation

Neutralization reaction

Carbon dioxide diffuses into the concrete – the neutralization reaction begins.
