A masterpiece of restoration
St. Mary’s Church in Stargard, Poland, is one of the most important Gothic red brick buildings in north-eastern Europe. With the extensive interior restoration from 2020 to 2023, its impressive colorfulness from the early 20th century was brought back to life – precise, authentic and with the utmost respect for the historic building fabric.
Meticulous color work
In close coordination with the authority for historic preservation, the company specializing in historic buildings, Konsart, reconstructed the original color concept according to the historic plans. Each color shade was analyzed, precisely replicated using the Brillux Color System and refined on site. A silicate-based structure made of Fondosil 1903 and Profisil 1906 was used for the mineral substrates – a solution that can withstand even the unique climatic conditions in the church over the long term.
