Closing cycles

For less environmental impact

Conserving resources, avoiding waste, reducing emissions – with our sustainability strategy, we are taking concrete, effective steps. Our key focus? Closing cycles. For us, this means keeping materials in circulation for as long as possible and making them usable again and again. By using practical measures, we take responsibility along the entire value chain – and support our partners in making joint progress towards a circular economy.

Packaging re-imagined

It’s not just what’s inside that counts – our packaging is also becoming more sustainable, step by step. In both product packaging and logistics, we opt for recyclable materials, optimized packaging formats and sophisticated return systems, among other things. Our goal: to measurably reduce resource consumption and waste.

One example: the gray buckets in our Vita range are made from 100% recycled plastics, derived from waste. With these recycled containers, we save large amounts of CO₂ over the entire product life cycle and conserve valuable resources.

Renewable instead of finite

Renewable raw materials are gradually playing an increasingly vital role in conserving resources and driving the ecological transformation of our industry. For our Vita series, for example, we use binders that are derived entirely from certified biomass through the mass balance method – thereby completely replacing fossil resources. This reduces the CO₂ footprint of the binder by more than 60%, without compromising on quality and application.
