To prevent mold infestation of wall and ceiling surfaces, you can follow one of two paths:
You can either use agent-containing paint materials with fungicide additives. Such products are not suitable for allergy sufferers and should be tested and approved for use in living areas. However, if the cause of the mold infestation has been eliminated there is no need to use such products.
Universal Fungicide 542
Colorless fungicidal and algaecidal concentrate for effective disinfection of mold and algae infested surfaces (after cleaning).
Mold Protection 930
Special dispersion paint for high-quality fungicidal and bactericidal ceiling and wall coats on interior fungus-endangered and fungus-infested surfaces.
Antimold 3430
Approved disinfectant, removes mold, fungi, algae, decay, etc. in interior applications.
The other option is the use of agent-free silicate products which are suitable for allergy sufferers. On the one hand such products offer natural protection against algae and mold due to their high alkalinity and on the other hand they absorb water and thus keep the substrate largely dry.
Silicate Interior Paint ELF 1806
Single-component silicate dispersion paint suitable for allergy sufferers, for high-quality interior ceiling and wall paint coats.
Color Concentrate ELF 9018
Tinting concentrate for exterior and interior silicate paints, suitable for allergy sufferers. Available in seven different colors which can be mixed with one another.
Fine-grained, moisture-buffering calcium silicate coating for interior wall and ceiling surfaces. Absorbs moisture, thus depriving mold of its breeding ground.
Important: Antimold products must be used in a safe manner.
