The neutral gray family and glazing shades

The neutral gray family 99

The neutral gray series has its own special code. Its family ID is 99. The next two numbers which represents saturation are always 00 since saturation without chromatic type is not a relevant quantity. The last two numbers represent lightness from 03 (white) to 69 (black) in steps of three.

Glazing shades

The glazing shades, depending on their chromatic type, are assigned a corresponding color shade family. Their first two numbers indicate the color shade family. The next two letters (LA) identify the color shade as a glazing. The final two numbers refer to the position of the glazing color shade within the color shade family.

Metallic color shades

Like the glazings, the metallics are also assigned to the corresponding color shade families depending on their chromatic type. The two letters (ME) identify the color shade as a metallic color. The final two numbers refer to the position of the metallic color within the color shade family.

RAL Classic color shades

The color shades of the RAL Classic color catalog have been incorporated into Brillux Scala - except for the nacreous luster and daylight luminous paint color shades. The RAL Classic ID is next to the Scala color shade.
